Being Independent is the most misunderstood word by many !
People relate financial independence to being independent.
It is very sad to see many educated working women considering themselves independent just because, they are working and earning.
How many really are capable of managing self? How many can do their household chores? How many can cook for themselves? How many can take financial decisions themselves in a relationship?
How many can take a personal decision for themselves in a relationship?
It is very sad to see how boys seek out for an independent girl in a marriage only to take an upper hand in the life's most important decisions? Finally equality comes down to a girl just contributing financially in a relationship and that's what a guy needs. Independent enough to earn for themselves and dependent enough to let the guy make the major decisions.
I am no feminist. I don't demand equality because i don't feel women are inferior to men in the first place!
I believe men and women choose what they want to do in the relationship.
When a women evolves, she doesn't lose the charm of being a women. She is not born to replace men. She does everything which a man cannot do.
Relationship in this era has lost its charm.
People are so running behind being independent and proving their individuality, that there is only " I " in a relationship and there's no "WE".
Girls don't seem to look at education as gaining knowledge. They start looking at education as something on which their parents poured their hard earned money and they have to have monetary return on their parent's investment.
Money is connected to every aspect of life. Passion is missing. They have forgotten the meaning of a relationship.
There are no two independent individuals in a successful relationship. There has to be a co dependence in such a way that the relationship grows.
We both earn for the family. We both strive for the family.
Women needn't always contribute financially in a relationship unless it is compulsory.
Women are unique by themselves.They don't need to prove anything to anyone. They should do something because they like it and it is good for the family and not because they need to prove something to someone.
Women should stop equating everything in life to money.
Many of them have not realized the difference between a working women and a career oriented women.
Small babies are left at daycare even when they can afford to take a break from work.
People can justify every action to the changing times.
But finally lotta women have lost the ability to enjoy small things in life. They are not there to hold their babies when they first try walking. They are not there to hear them talk first. They are not there to hold their babies when they fall down.
Despite being financially independent, women are still answerable to men. They need their permissions to do most things.
They all can convince themselves saying, that's how married life is in India.
With the amount of work stress currently, do they really get the option to choose what they wanna do?
The sad truth among a group of our so called educated independent women in our country!
